No, Congress is not lacking in common sense.
1. Representatives NOT up for election generally voted YES; Representatives up for election generally voted NO. The people of the US bombarded our representatives and those that have to face the people chose pragmatically.
2. Many of those who voted yes are amongst the largest receievers of the financial arm of the K Street lobbyist funding.
It was a pragmatic vote by the Congress.
what i don’t understand is WHY Congress doesn’t call in experts like Mr. Roubini, Prof. Morici, David Cay Johnston, Prof. Stiglitz…I could go on to GET THEIR MOST valuable opinion. HELLO! Are they lacking complete common sense??
